El objetivo de la investigaci?n ?Motivaci?n en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes del grado Sexto (6?) de la I E Agroecol?gico del municipio de El Paujil? es la descripci?n del nivel de motivaci?n escolar de los estudiantes del grado y la instituci?n en menci?n. Para ello se realiz? la caracterizaci?n de los niveles de su motivaci?n intr?nseca, extr?nseca y global. Algunas teor?as fundamento para la investigaci?n son: La Teor?a de las necesidades o Pir?mide de Maslow, La Teor?a de los Factores de Herzberg, La teor?a ERC (ERG) de Clayton Alderfer. Esta es una investigaci?n de campo, descriptiva, con enfoque cuantitativo, que realiza un an?lisis objetivo de la realidad con datos recolectados a trav?s de ?El cuestionario de Evaluaci?n Motivacional del Proceso de Aprendizaje ? EMPA?. La informaci?n recopilada permiti? identificar que los estudiantes investigados presentan bajos niveles de motivaci?n intr?nseca y global, y nivel alto de motivaci?n extr?nseca. A trav?s de la correspondencia establecida con el consolidado de calificaciones del primer periodo del a?o lectivo 2019, se pudo evidenciar que el 91% de los estudiantes tiene un desempe?o escolar B?sico, lo cual representa un bajo rendimiento acad?mico. A la luz de los resultados obtenidos se plantean recomendaciones direccionadas al trabajo en equipo entre instituci?n educativa y familia con miras a fortalecer la autoimagen, el autoconcepto, la autoestima, pilares que fortalecen la motivaci?n y la construcci?n de un proyecto de vida claro y definido.
The objective of the research "Motivation in the learning process of Sixth (6th) grade students of the Agroecological IE of the municipality of El Paujil" is the description of the level of school motivation of the students of the grade and the institution in question. For this research, the characterization of the levels of their intrinsic, extrinsic and global motivation was carried out. Some foundation theories for the research are: "The Theory of Needs or Maslow's Pyramid", Herzberg's Theory of Factors, Clayton Alderfer?s ERC theory (ERG). This is a descriptive field research, with a quantitative approach, which performs an objective analysis of reality with data collected through the "Motivational Assessment of the Learning Process - EMPA questionnaire". The information collected allowed to identify that the investigated students present low levels of intrinsic and global motivation, and high level of extrinsic motivation. Through the correspondence established with the consolidated grades for the first period of the 2019 school year, it was shown that 91% of the students have a Basic school performance, which represents a low academic performance. In light of the results obtained, recommendations are made aimed at teamwork between the educational institution and the family with a view to strengthening self-image, self-concept, and self-esteem, pillars that strengthen motivation and the construction of a clear and defined life project.
