El prop?sito medular de esta investigaci?n se enfoc? en describir la gesti?n directiva efectuada en la Instituci?n Santa Mar?a del Rio de Ch?a ? Cundinamarca, ante el proceso de calidad educativa. Para ello, se hizo posesi?n del modelo paradigm?tico interpretativo, a trav?s de la tradici?n cualitativa fenomenol?gica de Sand?n (2003), asumiendo tres (3) informantes claves de la instituci?n objeto de estudio que brindaron sus vivencias testimoniales mediante el uso de la entrevista semiestructurada como t?cnica, apoy?ndose en la gu?a de entrevista como instrumento. Una vez recopilada, categorizada, analizada e interpretada la informaci?n se concluy? que la gesti?n directiva ejercida en la instituci?n es pertinente para el logro de la calidad educativa, aun cuando hay proceso como la falta de coherencia entre los objetivos planteados y los resultados generados, y el estilo de liderazgo asumido por la rector?a, que podr?an desvirtuar la categor?a alcanzada actualmente ante las pruebas de calidad del estado colombiano.
The main purpose of this research was to describe the management of the Santa Maria del Rio de Chia - Cundinamarca Institution, before the process of educational quality. In order to do this, the paradigmatic interpretative model was acquired through the phenomenological qualitative tradition of Sandin (2003), assuming three (3) key informants of the institution object of study that provided their testimonial experiences through the use of the semistructured interview as Technique, relying on the interview guide as an instrument. Once the information was collected, categorized, analyzed and interpreted, it was concluded that the managerial management exercised in the institution is relevant to the achievement of educational quality, even when there is a process such as the lack of coherence between the objectives and the results generated; The style of leadership assumed by the rectory, which could detract from the category currently achieved by the quality tests of the Colombian state.
