La Universidad Metropolitana de Educaci?n, Ciencia y Tecnolog?a (UMECIT) fue constituida oficialmente por el Decreto Ejecutivo No. 575 del 21 de julio de 2004, cuyos fundamentos did?cticos fueron la implementaci?n de la tecnolog?a en la gesti?n acad?mica ? administrativa para el logro de los objetivos institucionales. Desde su fundaci?n, en el 2 004, se fue consolidando la experiencia innovadora que UMECIT propuso; la cual consisti? en la vinculaci?n del uso de las tecnolog?as y los conceptos human?sticos para la atenci?n de la comunidad universitaria. En el 2 017, se sistematiz? y argument? la din?mica de trabajo, caracterizada por dos aristas: el valor del ser humano y la tecnolog?a; definiendo as? el Modelo Educativo Curricular Ciberhumanista. Despu?s de cinco a?os de constituido el modelo, se realiz? un an?lisis te?rico que dio como resultado la inquietud de proponer la inclusi?n de otras teor?as educativas que refuercen el concepto humanista, desde el constructo del aprendizaje significativo y colaborativo para la gesti?n del curr?culo. La tendencia propuesta est? basada en autores constructivistas y la incorporaci?n de un cap?tulo adicional en el modelo sobre ?La instrumentalizaci?n del modelo con el desglose de los recursos tecnol?gicos empleados para la gesti?n educativa y curricular que respalda el logro de los objetivos de aprendizaje de la oferta acad?mica, as? como, el cumplimiento de la visi?n y misi?n institucional?.
The Universidad Metropolitana de Educaci?n, Ciencia y Tecnolog?a (UMECIT) was founded by the Government Decree No. 575 on July 21st, 2004, and its main pedagogical principle was the use of technology in the academic and administrative areas to achieve institutional objectives. From the beginning, UMECIT proposed an innovative experience based on the bonding between the use of technology and the implementation of a humanistic approach to serve the university community. In 2017, the institutional workflow was systematized upon two axes: the value of human beings and technology. This educational approach defined the Cyber-Humanistic Educational and Curricular Model. Five years after that, the results of a theoretical analysis showed the need to expand the model to include other educational theories to improve the humanistic concept. That resulted in the addition of meaningful learning and collaborative learning to deliver a comprehensive curriculum for the university programs. The theoretical basis of that addition is based on constructivist sources and is reflected in a new chapter of the model titled ?Implementation of the model by means of the technological resources used in the educational and curricular management to support the achievement of the learning objectives of the programs and the institutional vision and mission?.
