Participar en el desarrollo del Dise?o Curricular para la Actualizaci?n del Programa de Maestr?a en Project Management con Salida Intermedia de Especializaci?n en Project Management, permiti? fortalecer y aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el desarrollo de los diferentes m?dulos del programa acad?mico MAPE. Es importante entender que no es posible realizar un trabajo tan importante como la actualizaci?n o la creaci?n de un nuevo programa acad?mico sin antes observar y analizar el entorno donde se pretende ofertar, ya sea en modalidad virtual o presencial, hay diferentes factores que pueden ser determinantes para convertir un proyecto de esta envergadura en un ?xito o por el contrario llevarlo al fracaso. En el caso del programa de Especializaci?n y Maestr?a en Project Management, fue posible analizar c?mo en a?os anteriores ha tenido una importante acogida, generando resultados ?ptimos para los graduados, la instituci?n y su entorno. En cuanto a los aspectos econ?micos de Panam?, ciudad donde se encuentra la Universidad Metropolitana de Educaci?n Ciencia y Tecnolog?a ?UMECIT?, fue posible evidenciar que a pesar de la situaci?n presentada a nivel mundial por el Covid -19, este pa?s logr? continuar con sus actividades econ?micas aun a pesar de ciertas bajas en sectores financieros, pero se espera una mejora y crecimiento de acuerdo a lo expresado en el Plan Estrat?gico Nacional con Visi?n de Estado PANAMA 2030. Toda esta informaci?n fue de suma importancia para poder tomar la decisi?n de continuar con el proyecto de actualizaci?n del programa en Project Management; ya que tambi?n generan afectaci?n el sector educativo. Otros factores, que se fueron tenidos en cuenta , es el mercado laboral paname?o, y su nivel de competitividad, donde se puede observar la importancia de implementar programas enfocados a la gerencia, direcci?n y desarrollo de proyectos, que permiten la vinculaci?n en el mercado laboral en cualquier sector de la econom?a, fortaleciendo las habilidades gerenciales que conlleven a toma de decisiones enfocadas al crecimiento y desarrollo del pa?s. En el proceso de construcci?n y desarrollo de este trabajo, fue necesario contar con el apoyo de egresados, sector externo, docentes, y personal acad?mico y administrativo de la instituci?n para poder dar cuerpo a una estructura curricular actualizada y acorde a las necesidades de los futuros estudiantes, la instituci?n y los sectores econ?micos que se ven impactados, pues debe suplirse esas necesidades manifestadas o identificadas y que los egresados del programa en Project Management cuenten con las habilidades necesarias para ello. La especializaci?n tiene una duraci?n de dos (2) cuatrimestres y la Maestr?a de cuatro (4) cuatrimestres, los cuales se podr?n llevar a cabo de manera semipresencial y virtual. Se gener? la actualizaci?n de este programa dando claridad a la intensidad horaria, la duraci?n de cada hora, el n?mero de cr?ditos, su modalidad y horarios. De acuerdo al modelo pedag?gico Ciberhumanista con el que siempre ha trabajado la UMECIT, se realiza el respectivo enfoque en la concepci?n cibern?tica, humanista y la relaci?n que se debe mantener entre la universidad, sus estudiantes y la sociedad; por ello, se enfoca en el aprendizaje aut?nomo y colaborativo, aunando esfuerzos en el uso apropiado de herramientas tecnol?gicas que conlleven a la investigaci?n, el emprendimiento, la innovaci?n y el fortalecimiento de la cultura de desarrollo humano, sin olvidarnos del eje central de la educaci?n que es el estudiante a quien se pretende formar con principios ?ticos y el fortalecimiento de sus valores para un ?ptimo desarrollo de su ser. Cada una de las asignaturas y el contenido de las mismas se actualizaron con el objetivo de que le permitir?n al estudiante obtener las herramientas y conocimientos necesarios para poder afrontar con compromiso, responsabilidad y profesionalismo su rol como Especialista o Magister en Project Management desarrollando las competencias exigidas para su formaci?n integral, form?ndose como directivos en proyectos de investigaci?n y asa mismo, promoviendo soluciones innovadoras ante las diferentes problem?ticas que pueda enfrentar. El programa se actualiz? tambi?n pensando en el perfil del egresado de acuerdo a 5 aspectos fundamentales: en aquello que debe ? conocer ? como base de su fundamentaci?n te?rica; en el ? hacer ? identificando como aplicar lo aprendido para alcanzar ventajas competitivas en el mercado y dise?ar herramientas de crecimiento personal, laboral y para su regi?n; en el ?vivir? aportando en la toma de decisiones teniendo en cuenta normas, m?todos y procedimientos de trabajo; en el ? ser ? al trabajar con una mentalidad empresarial, con una visi?n hol?stica y estimulando a la implementaci?n de procesos de calidad; y finalmente en el ? emprender ? cuando logra ser parte de una cultura empresarial comprometida, generando modelos de proyectos basado en la eficiencia, la eficacia y la efectividad de su actuar como profesional.
To participate in the development of the Specialization and Master in Management Project allowed to reinforce and apply the acquired knowledge in the development ofthe different levels of the academic program MAPE. It is important to understand that it isn?t possible to make such an important work as the updating or creation of a new academic program without taking in account and analyzing the environment in which it pretends to be offered, whether in virtual mode or attending mode. There are different facts that can be determined to convert a project of this magnitude a success or a failure. In the case of the Specialization and Master in Management Project, I t was possible to analyze these last years that it has had an important acceptance which has generated great results for the graduates, the institute and its environment. In respect of the Panama?s economic facts, the city in which its located the Metropolitan university of Science and Technology ?UMECIT?, it was possible to notice that despite of how hard was the global situation caused by Covid-19, this country achieved to hold its economic activities even if it had some losses in financial sectors but it is still waiting for a better growing according to their expectations in the National Strategic Plan with the view of the Panama State 2030. The whole information had a huge importance because it allowed to take the decision to keep up with the updating of the program in Project Management because it also generates affectation in the educational sector. Another fact that has been taking in account was the Panama?s labor market and its high level of competitiveness, in which we can notice the relevance of applying programs that are focused on management, direction and development of projects that allow to link the labor market in whatever economic sector, reinforcing the management skills that involve taking decisions that lead to the growth and the development of that country. In the process of building and development of this work was necessary to count on graduates, the external sector, some teachers and the academic staff and also the management staff of this institution, in order to create a curriculum structure that is also updated and proper to the students? needs, to the institute and to the economic sectors that have been impacted because those expressed needs must be identified and supplied which means that the graduates of this program in Project Management must have the required skills and abilities. This specialization lasts (2) terms of four months and the Master lasts (4) terms of four months which can be studied by blended learning or e-learning. It was created the updating of this program, giving clarity to the number of hours, the periods, the number of credits, its modality and schedules. According to the pedagogical model ?Cyber human? the one that has been used by the ?UMECIT?, it?s been realized the focus on the cyber concept, the human concept and the relation that must be kept between the university, its students and the society. Because of it, it?s focused on the self-learning, the collaborative learning to gather efforts in the proper use of the technological tools that precede to the investigation, the entrepreneurship, the innovation, and the reinforcement of the human development culture, without forgetting of the main axis of the education who is the student that is pretended to fill with ethical principles and the reinforcement of his/her values to achieve the optimal development of his/her well-being. Each subject and its content were updated in order to allow to the student to get the skills and knowledge to be able to perform his/her role as a specialized or Master in Project Management with engagement, responsibility and a high level of professionalism showing that owns the required skills for his integral development such as directors for Investigation projects although promoting innovative solutions facing the different problems related to this role. This program was also updated thinking of the graduated profile according to five fundamental aspects: Everything that ?must know? as a base for his/her theoretical foundation; Everything that ?must do? identifying how to apply what he/she learnedand reach competitive advantages in the labor market and to be able of designing tools for his/her personal and labor growth and the growth of his/her region; In ?the Living? contributing to the decisions by taking in account the rules, methods and procedures to work; In ?the Being? by working with an entrepreneurial mindset, with an holistic view and stimulating to implement quality processes; and finally, in ?the undertaking? when he/she achieve being part of an engaged entrepreneurial culture, generating models of projects based on the efficiency the effectiveness and the efficacy.
