El ?rea de lengua castellana est? siendo evaluada por le MEN a trav?s del ICFES de manera censal, lo que ha permitido conocer que el nivel acad?mico de los estudiantes no es el mejor, por lo tanto, se hace necesario profundizar en la problem?tica general tomando como muestra una porci?n de estudiantes de la Instituci?n Educativa y a partir del uso de textos discontinuos contribuir con el fortalecimiento de dicho proceso. Se utiliz? la l?nea de investigaci?n Educaci?n y Sociedad, desde la que fue posible hacer una reflexi?n en el proceso educativo partiendo de las necesidades y posibilidades del contexto social. El enfoque de investigaci?n fue el cualitativo, el tipo el transeccional o transversal y el dise?o narrativo. El documento est? dividido en 4 cap?tulos as?: Cap?tulo I contextualizaci?n de la problem?tica, cap?tulo II fundamentaci?n te?rica de la investigaci?n, cap?tulo III aspectos metodol?gicos de la investigaci?n y el cap?tulo IV an?lisis o interpretaci?n de los resultados o hallazgos.
The area of Spanish language is being evaluated by the MEN through the ICFES in a census manner, which has made it possible to know that the academic level of the students is not the best, therefore, it is necessary to delve into the general problem taking as shows a portion of students from the Educational Institution and from the use of discontinuous texts contribute to the strengthening of this process. The Education and Society line of research was used, from which it was possible to reflect on the educational process based on the needs and possibilities of the social context. The research focus was qualitative, type transectional or transversal, and narrative design. The document is divided into 4 chapters as follows: Chapter I contextualization of the problem, Chapter II theoretical foundation of the research, Chapter III methodological aspects of the research and Chapter IV analysis or interpretation of the results or findings.
