El proyecto de investigaci?n ?Estrategias que mitiguen la deserci?n en la Instituci?n Educativa Luis ?dgar Dur?n Ram?rez del municipio de Paicol-Huila?, hace parte del proceso de formaci?n de la maestr?a en Administraci?n y Planificaci?n Educativa de la Universidad Metropolitana de Educaci?n, Ciencia y Tecnolog?a - UMECIT de Panam?, como requisito para optar al t?tulo de Mag?ster en Administraci?n y Planificaci?n Educativa. El prop?sito fundamental de esta investigaci?n es plantear estrategias que permitan reducir el grado de deserci?n en la Instituci?n Educativa Luis ?dgar Dur?n Ram?rez por medio de la identificaci?n de los factores asociados, desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes desertores del grado s?ptimo, los docentes, y el an?lisis documental del formato de matr?cula de la Instituci?n, analizando los contextos y situaciones que han incidido para iniciar procesos de construcci?n de estrategias de prevenci?n. Los fundamentos te?ricos de este estudio se soportan en las perspectivas de Coleman (1988) la teor?a de Finn (1989) para lograr entender la problem?tica de la no retenci?n. De Vargas (2017) uno de los desaf?os m?s grandes que enfrenta el pa?s en materia de educaci?n es la lucha contra la deserci?n, y los estudios de Bordieu y Passeron (1979, p. 15 ) Esta investigaci?n se realiz? mediante el m?todo cualitativo con enfoque fenomenol?gico. La poblaci?n de estudio estuvo determinada por 15 estudiantes desertores, 9 docentes y 15 padres de familia o tutores de los estudiantes que desertaron de la Instituci?n Educativa Luis ?dgar Dur?n Ram?rez del municipio de Paicol. Se presentan como conclusiones m?s relevantes la identificaci?n de los factores que promueven la deserci?n, entre ellos la situaci?n acad?mica de los integrantes de los hogares, el ambiente escolar con d?ficit en estrategias pedag?gicas motivadoras y por ?ltimo, el inter?s propio del estudiante por formarse dentro de un campo disciplinar
The research project "Strategies that mitigate dropout at the Luis Edgar Dur?n Ram?rez Educational Institution, in the municipality of Paicol-Huila", is part of the training process for the master's degree in EducationalAdministration and Planning of the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology - UMECIT of Panama, as a requirement to qualify forthe Master's degree in Educational Planning and Administration. The fundamental purpose of this research is to propose strategies that allow reducing the dropout rate at the Luis Edgar Dur?n Ram?rez Educational Institution; through the identification of factors associated with school dropout from the perspective of the seventh grade dropout students, the teachers and the documentary analysis of the institution's enrollment format, analyzing the contexts and situations that have influenced the initiation of construction processes of prevention strategies. The theoretical foundations of this study are supported by the perspectives of Coleman (1988), Finn's theory (1989) with its models to achieve andunderstand the problem of non-retention. Vargas (2017) one of the greatest challenges facing the country in terms of education is the fight against desertion and the studies of Bordieu y Passeron (1979, p. 15) This study was carried out using the qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The study population was determined by 15 dropout students, 9 teachers and 15 parents or guardians of the students who dropped out of the Luis ?dgar Dur?n Ram?rez Educational Institution in the municipality of Paicol. The most relevant conclusions are the identification of the factors that promote dropout, such as the academic situation of the homes, the school environment with a deficit in motivating pedagogical strategies, and finally the student's own internship to be trained within a disciplinary field.
