Modelos epist?micos. Una ruta en la praxis investigativa

Este ensayo pretende establecer una aproximaci?n a algunos de los modelos epist?micos existentes en los procesos de investigaci?n, a partir de las relaciones entre la epistemolog?a, la investigaci?n y las teor?as del conocimiento como sustento te?rico. Se inicia con un acercamiento etimol?gico de la epistemolog?a haciendo referencia a los procesos relacionados con la generaci?n del conocimiento y su incidencia en la investigaci?n; se contin?a con el desarrollo de las teor?as del conocimiento desde la posibilidad, origen y esencia del conocimiento (dogmatismo, escepticismo, subjetivismo, relativismo, pragmatismo, criticismo, racionalismo, empirismo, intelectualismo, apriorismo, objetivismo, realismo, idealismo y fenomenalismo) siguiendo la perspectiva epistemol?gica y, se finaliza, con la relaci?n entre dichas teor?as y los modelos epist?micos (positivismo, pragmatismo, pragmatismo sociol?gico, materialismo dial?ctico, estructuralismo, empirismo, fenomenolog?a y hol?stico), argumentando que las teor?as son la base para la construcci?n de cualquier modelo epist?mico. En este sentido, se presenta el c?mo los modelos pueden converger en algunos elementos y fases comunes, dando origen a nuevos caminos en investigaci?n teniendo en cuenta que estos deben responder, desde la filosof?a, a interrogantes como ?qu? es conocer?, ?para qu? se conoce? y ?c?mo se conoce? As? mismo, para definir si un modelo es epist?mico se debe analizar el conjunto de planteamientos, aportes, teor?as y conceptos precedentes desde diferentes disciplinas convirti?ndose as? en matrices de pensamiento que lleven a crear nuevas teor?as. Por ?ltimo, se se?ala que, en los procesos investigativos, el investigador tiene la autonom?a para definir el modelo apropiado que le brinde las pautas y herramientas necesarias para direccionar su estudio, tomando en consideraci?n la realidad en la que se encuentra y los prop?sitos que quiere alcanzar.
This essay aims to establish an approach to some of the existing epistemic models in research processes, based on the relationships between epistemology, research and theories of knowledge as theoretical support. It begins with an etymological approach to epistemology, referring to the processes related to the generation of knowledge and its incidence in research; it continues with the development of the theories of knowledge from the possibility, origin and essence of knowledge (dogmatism, skepticism, subjectivism, relativism, pragmatism, criticism, rationalism, empiricism, intellectualism, apriorism, objectivism, realism, idealism and phenomenalism) following the epistemological perspective and, it ends with the relationship between these theories and epistemic models (positivism, pragmatism, sociological pragmatism, dialectical materialism, structuralism, empiricism, phenomenology and holism), arguing that theories are the basis for the construction of any epistemic model. In this sense, it is presented how the models can converge in some common elements and phases, giving rise to new paths in research, taking into account that these must respond, from philosophy, to questions such as: what is to know, what is the purpose of knowing, and how is it known? Likewise, to define whether a model is epistemic, it is necessary to analyze the set of approaches, contributions, theories and preceding concepts from different disciplines, thus becoming thought matrices that lead to the creation of new theories. Finally, it is pointed out that, in the research processes, the researcher has the autonomy to define the appropriate model that provides the necessary guidelines and tools to direct his study, taking into consideration the reality in which he finds himself and the purposes he wants to achieve.
