There are various methodologies for analyzing and evaluating the conditions of management of solid waste in a particular area. The present study is based on the collection of information concerning to this subject, the use of geographic information systems to represent the general characteristics of the indigenous community of Pijibasal taking into account regulations. Oncins methodologies and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) - Pan American Center for Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (in Spanish CEPIS) allowed to determine the size of the samples, the quantitative and qualitative analysis of solid waste. And finally we assessed the physical parameters, chemical and microbiological water were selected through the methods of measurement and analysis established in “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater” APHA, AWWA and WEF. According to these methods is proposed an integrated waste management Plan for this area of study.
Existen distintas metodologías para analizar y evaluar las condiciones de manejo de residuos sólidos en un área en concreto. El presente estudio se basa en la recopilación de información referente a esta temática, la utilización de sistemas de información geográfica para representar las características de la comunidad indígena de Pijibasal teniendo en cuenta las normas vigentes. Las metodologías de Oncins y la de Organización Panamericana de Salud (OPS) – Centro Panamericano de Ingeniería Sanitaria y Ciencias del Ambiente (CEPIS) permitieron determinar el tamaño de las muestras, el análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de residuos sólidos. Y por último se evaluaron los parámetros físicos, químicos y microbiológicos del agua se seleccionaron a través los métodos de medición y análisis establecidos en “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater” de APHA, AWWA y WEF. De acuerdo a estos métodos se propuso un Plan de Manejo Integral de Residuos Sólidos para esta área de estudio.
