Este articulo plasma los resultados de percepci?n que tienen los residentes del Corregimiento de Monagrillo sobre la recolecci?n y manejo de los residuos s?lidos urbanos a nivel casero y su impacto en la eliminaci?n de posibles focos de infecci?n. El objetivo es describir el manejo de estos residuos s?lidos urbanos para mitigar el impacto ambiental. La metodolog?a utilizada para la redacci?n del art?culo es de tipo no experimental, transaccional, con un estudio descriptivo, con hip?tesis causal; el universo es la poblaci?n del Corregimiento de Monagrillo, y la muestra son cinco urbanizaciones, escogidas al azar; el tipo de muestreo es el simple al azar; y los sujetos son las personas encuestadas. Los an?lisis de los datos se presentan en gr?ficas porcentuales. Los resultados de este estudio investigativo arrojaron que los residentes, consideran que los RSU m?s reciclados son: pl?stico 40%, papel 28%, cart?n 20%, vidrio 10% y metal 2%; adem?s los ciudadanos consideran importante la defensa del medio ambiente para mejorar, restaurar y conservar los espacios limpios de contaminaci?n ambiental. Utilizaremos la t?cnica del an?lisis FODA para realizar una planeaci?n estrat?gica y as? obtener una visi?n real de la situaci?n (prepar?ndola para el crecimiento, en medio de los desaf?os actuales y futuros), del servicio de recolecci?n de los RSU, que es ofrecido por el Municipio de Chitr?. Se har? una reingenier?a a las rutas de recolecci?n de RSU en Corregimiento de Monagrillo, para as? minimizar el tiempo y reducir los costos de recolecci?n y manejo de estos.
This article reflects the perception results that residents of the Corregimiento de Monagrillo have about the collection and management of urban solid waste at home and its impact on the elimination of possible sources of infection. The objective is to describe the management of these urban solid wastes to mitigate the environmental impact. The methodology used to write the articleis non-experimental, transactional, with a descriptive study, with a causal hypothesis; the universe is the population of the Corregimiento de Monagrillo, and the sample is five urbanizations, chosen at random; the type of sampling is simple random; and the subjects are the people surveyed. Data analyzes are presented in percentage charts.The results of this research study showed that residents consider that the most recycled MSW are: plastic 40%, paper 28%, cardboard 20%, glass 10% and metal 2%; In addition, citizens consider the defense of the environment important to improve, restore and preserve spaces that are clean of environmental contamination.We will use the SWOT analysis technique to carry out strategic planning and thus obtain a real vision of the situation (preparing it for growth, amid current and future challenges), of the RSU collection service, which is offered by the Municipality from Chitr?. There will be a reengineering of the RSU collection routes in the Corregimiento de Monagrillo, in order to minimize the time and reduce the collection and handling costs of these.
