La presente investigaci?n se realiz? con el objetivo fundamental de describir el nivel de compromiso organizacional del personal docente de la Instituci?n Educativa Mata de Pl?tano del Municipio Canalete, Colombia. A nivel te?rico se apoy? en los planteamientos de Meyer y Allen (1997), Rivera (2010), De la Puente (2017), entre otros. Con respecto a la naturaleza de investigaci?n, se asumi? desde el paradigma positivista de enfoque cuantitativo, mediante un tipo de investigaci?n descriptiva con dise?o no experimental y de campo. Para la recolecci?n de datos se aplic? un cuestionario de opciones m?ltiple a una poblaci?n censal conformada por 18 sujetos. La validez del instrumento en menci?n se realiz? a trav?s de la t?cnica juicio de experto, y el c?lculo de la confiabilidad mediante el coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach, el cual arroj? 0,90. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que los docentes de la instituci?n educativa objeto de estudio tienen un nivel medio de compromiso organizacional en su dimensi?n afectiva y un nivel alto en las dimensiones de continuidad y normativo. De igual forma, los hallazgos demostraron que existe un nivel bajo en los indicadores de satisfacci?n laboral y reputaci?n de la instituci?n.
The present investigation was carried out with the fundamental objective of describing the level of organizational commitment of the teaching staff of the Mata de Platano Educational Institution of the Canalete Municipality, Colombia. At a theoretical level, it supported the approaches of Meyer and Allen (1997), Rivera (2010), De la Puente (2017), among others. With respect to the nature of research, it was assumed from the positivist paradigm of quantitative approach, through a type of descriptive research with non-experimental and field design. For data collection, a multiple choice questionnaire was applied to a census population consisting of 18 subjects. The validity of the instrument in question was carried out through the expert judgment technique, and the calculation of reliability using the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which yielded 0.90. The results obtained showed that the teachers of the educational institution under study have a medium level of organizational commitment in their affective dimension and a high level in the continuity and normative dimensions. Similarly, the findings showed that there is a low level of indicators of job satisfaction and reputation of the institution.
