El trabajo de investigaci?n tiene como objetivo Distinguir las estrategias metodol?gicas necesarias para despertar el inter?s de los estudiantes de Educaci?n B?sica Secundaria y Media del municipio de Pitalito, Huila, en el proceso de ense?anza-aprendizaje del idioma ingl?s; para de esta manera mejorar el desempe?o acad?mico de los educandos que ha sido bajo en los ?ltimos a?os, especialmente en los grados de sexto a noveno. Despu?s de estudiar la situaci?n se decidi? que para atacar el problema era necesario realizar una investigaci?n de tipo cualitativo para determinar la metodolog?a apropiada para despertar el inter?s de los educandos por el ?rea de ingl?s. Se define la entrevista en profundidad como el instrumento de recolecci?n de datos, por ser el m?s adecuado para el tipo de investigaci?n a desarrollar. Se seleccion? la muestra que consisti? de cinco cualificados maestros del ?rea en el nivel de b?sica secundaria y media del municipio de Pitalito, Huila y a ellos se les aplic? la entrevista en profundidad que fue dise?ada cuidadosamente para que cumpliera con el prop?sito que era dar respuesta a la pregunta del problema y al objetivo general de la investigaci?n. Despu?s de aplicada la entrevista a los docentes, se procedi? a realizar el an?lisis de la informaci?n recolectada; se organiz? la matriz de categorizaci?n y se hallaron las coincidencias y divergencias entre las opiniones de los entrevistados. Despu?s de todo este proceso se encontr? que la metodolog?a m?s adecuada para despertar el inter?s de los estudiantes por el ?rea de ingl?s es la metodolog?a activa que involucra el trabajo colaborativo, el uso de las TICS, el juego y las actividades l?dicas. Finalmente se presentan los resultados y se dan las conclusiones de la investigaci?n.
The research work has as objective to distinguish the necessary methodological strategies to arouse the interest of the students of Basic Secondary and Middle Education in Pitalito, In the English language teaching-learning process, in order to improve the academic performance of the students, that has been low in the last few years, especially from sixth to Ninth grades. After studying the situation, it was decided that to attack the problem, it was necessary to carry out a qualitative research in order to determine the appropriate metodology to arouse the student?s interest for the English subject. In-depth interview was defined as the data colection instrument, for being the most suitable for the type of research to be carried out. The sample population was selected, which consisted of five qualified English teachers at the basic secondary and middle level from municipality of Pitalito, Huila, and they were applied the interview that was carefully designed to comply the purpose which was to answer the problem questionand to achieve the research general objective. After the interview was applied to the teachers, the analysis was carried out of the collected information; the categorization matrix was organized, the variables were classified, and the agreements and disagreements among the interviwees? opinions were found. After all this process it was found that the most appropriate metodology to arouse the interest of students for the English subject is the active metodology that involves collaborative work, the use of ITCs (Information and communications technologys), play and playful activities. Finally, the results are presented and the conclusions of the research are given.
