The present study is based on the experiences of lives in patients with tuberculosis, since it is a problem of great magnitude, it also considers a public health problem due to the increase of morbidity and mortality rates in the region. The current investigation was carried out with the objective of knowing the life experience in patients with tuberculosis attending the Nicolás A. Solano Hospital. In this order of ideas, the study is based on qualitative field research, non-experimental design and phenomenological descriptive level. The population is conformed by the patients with tuberculosis that attend the consultation of medicine, and as for the participants, it was represented by six (6) patients; in this sense, the sample was intentional. The technique corresponded to the in-depth interview. In continuity, the methodological aspects of the study maintained the criteria of scientific rigor, together with the criteria of validity, under the application of conventional criteria and application of own criteria. In emphasis, the research obtained as a result that because the disease is contagious the patient must take care not to infect others, the disease has changed the patient's life due to isolation and treatment. The investigation concluded, that by virtue of the degree of imbalance that the tuberculosis disease generates in the organism, given the need for changes, causing long-term isolation for the rehabilitation of the patient, thus promoting involuntary detachment and the lack of family communication.
El presente estudio está basado en las experiencias de vidas en pacientes con tuberculosis, ya que es un problema de gran magnitud, considerado también un problema de salud pública debido al incremento de las tasas de morbilidad y mortalidad en la región. La actual investigación se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de conocer la experiencia de vida en pacientes con tuberculosis que asisten al Hospital Nicolás A. Solano. En este orden de ideas, el estudio está basado en una investigación cualitativa de tipo campo, diseño no experimental y nivel descriptivo fenomenológica. La población está conformada por los pacientes con tuberculosis que asisten a la consulta de medicina; y en cuanto a los participantes, estuvo representado por seis (6) pacientes; en este sentido, la muestra fue de tipo intencional. La técnica correspondió a la entrevista a profundidad. En continuidad, los aspectos metodológicos del estudio mantuvieron los criterios de rigor científico, conjuntamente con los criterios de validez, bajo la aplicación de criterios convencionales y aplicación de criterios propios. En énfasis, la investigación obtuvo como resultado que la enfermedad es contagiosa, el paciente debe cuidar de no contagiar a los demás; la enfermedad ha cambiado la vida del paciente por el aislamiento y su tratamiento. El grado de desajuste que genera la enfermedad de tuberculosis en el organismo, dada la necesidad de cambios, ocasiona un aislamiento por largo tiempo para la rehabilitación del enfermo, propiciando de esta forma el desapego involuntario y la falta de comunicación familiar.
