Esta investigaci?n tuvo como objetivo proponer lineamientos estrat?gicos para la toma de decisiones de la junta directiva de la IPS Amigos de la Salud, basados en el an?lisis de los estados financieros (2015, 2016 y 2017), se fundament? te?ricamente con los aportes de Van Horne (2004), Serna (2005), Garc?a (2006), Saldivar (2006), D?az (2008), Hern?ndez (2009), entre otros. Por otra parte, tambi?n la variable relacionada con la toma de decisiones, sustentada por Munch y Garcia (2003), Robbins (2004), Koontz y Weihrich (2004), McLuhan (2002), Lenner y Baker (2006), Chiavenato (2009), entre otros. Se desarroll? bajo el enfoque epistemol?gico positivista, con una metodolog?a cuantitativa, el tipo de investigaci?n proyectiva con nivel descriptivo, la poblaci?n estuvo constituida por 5 directores que integran la IPS Fundaci?n Amigos de la Salud y los estados financieros auditados (Balance General y los Estado de Resultados) de los a?os: 2015,2016 y 2017, no se acude al muestreo, para recolectar los datos se elabor? un instrumento con 15 ?tems de varias alternativas de respuesta, validado por juicio de expertos y validez discriminante, la confiabilidad fue de 0,85; adicionalmente se aplic? una ficha de observaci?n para obtener datos de los estados financieros, los datos se procesaron con la estad?stica descriptiva. Los resultados evidenciaron que las decisiones tomadas por los directivos de la IPS Amigos de la salud en cuanto a los an?lisis financieros han sido desacertadas, por otro lado, los directivos carecen de pol?ticas administrativas y financieras para la toma de decisiones rutinarias y generalmente sus decisiones en cualquier ?mbito son a trav?s de la improvisaci?n y emociones del momento, por lo que se propuso un modelo para la toma de decisiones programadas y no programadas, as? como algunas pol?ticas administrativas y financiera que puedan coadyuvar al mejoramiento de las actividades de la Instituci?n. The objective of this research was to propose strategic guidelines for the decision making of the board of directors of the IPS Amigos de la Salud, based on the analysis of the financial statements (2015, 2016 and 2017), theoretically based on the contributions of Van Horne (2004), Serna (2005), Garc?a (2006), Saldivar (2006), D?az (2008), Hern?ndez (2009), among others. On the other hand, also the variable related to decision making, supported by Munch and Garcia (2003), Robbins (2004), Koontz and Weihrich (2004), McLuhan (2002), Lenner and Baker (2006), Chiavenato (2009) ), among others. It was developed under the positivist epistemological approach, with a quantitative methodology, the type of projective research with a descriptive level, the population was constituted by 5 directors that make up the IPS Friends of Health Foundation and the audited financial statements (Balance Sheet and the State of Results) of the years: 2015,2016 and 2017, we did not go to the sampling, to collect the data we developed an instrument with 15 items of several response alternatives, validated by expert judgment and discriminant validity, the reliability was 0, 85; In addition, an observation form was applied to obtain data from the financial statements, the data were processed with descriptive statistics. The results showed that the decisions taken by the directors of the IPS Friends of health in terms of financial analysis have been wrong, on the other hand, managers lack administrative and financial policies for making routine decisions and generally their decisions in any field is through the improvisation and emotions of the moment, for which a model was proposed for the decision making of programmed and unscheduled, as well as some administrative and financial policies that can contribute to the improvement of the activities of the Institution.
