El presente trabajo investigativo sobre el manejo de desechos hospitalarios y su impacto en el personal que labora en el centro de salud de Gardi Sugdub, fue de gran relevancia; ya que el tema en estudio se reviste de importancia, debido a que los resultados obtenidos en esta investigaci?n permitieron orientar y tomar correctivos para realizar una adecuada recolecci?n y tratamiento de los desechos hospitalarios que se generan diariamente. Los objetivos de esta investigaci?n estuvieron orientados a la identificaci?n del manejo de los residuos hospitalarios, determinar las caracter?sticas, el nivel de conocimiento y verificar las normativas establecidas para el manejo de los desechos hospitalarios del personal que labora en el Centro de Salud de Gardi Sugdub, con la finalidad de brindar informaci?n oportuna que coadyuve a la prevenci?n de enfermedades. La tesis estuvo estructurada bajo el tipo de dise?o descriptivo prospectivo, utilizando t?cnicas como la observaci?n directa en el ?rea de estudio, encuesta aplicada al personal del centro de salud, entrevista no estructurada al Director del centro de salud, la bibliograf?a que sirvi? para dar sustento cient?fico a la parte te?rica, cuyos resultados sirvieron para constatar que el personal en su mayor?a, son de g?nero femenino entre edades de 21 a 35 a?os, con un nivel de instrucci?n superior y mag?ster, pertenecientes a zonas urbanas, desempe??ndose como l?deres del servicio, interno de enfermer?a y medicina, enfermeras/os, auxiliar de enfermer?a y m?dicos, quienes demostraron que s? utilizan las barreras de protecci?n, se han vacunado contra el t?tano, hepatitis B e influenza, realizan el aseo personal, se practican un chequeo m?dico a veces o anual, cumpliendo con la clasificaci?n de los desechos comunes, infecciosos, especiales y cortopunzantes en los recolectores adecuados, de acuerdo al color para cada desecho; datos que a su vez sirvieron para la estructuraci?n de las conclusiones y recomendaciones y para finalmente crear y ejecutar un taller sobre el manejo adecuado de los desechos hospitalarios, el mismo que fue socializado con el personal que labora en el centro de salud. El buen manejo de los desechos hospitalarios contribuye en cuidar y preservar la salud del personal del centro de salud de Gardi Sugdub.
The present investigative work on the management of hospital waste and its impact on the personnel working in the Gardi Sugdub health center was of great relevance; since the subject under study is important because the results obtained in this research allowed to guide and take corrective measures to carry out an adequate collection and treatment of hospital waste generated daily. The objectives of this research were aimed at identifying the management of hospital waste, determining the characteristics, the level of knowledge and verifying the regulations established for the management of hospital waste of the personnel working in the Gardi Sugdub health center, in order to provide timely information that contributes to the prevention of diseases. The thesis was structured under the type of prospective descriptive design, using techniques such as direct observation in the study area, a survey applied to the health center staff, an unstructured interview with the Director of the health center, the bibliography that served to support scientist to the theoretical part, which served to verify that the majority of the personnel are female between the ages of 21 to 35 years, with a higher level of instruction and a master's degree, belonging to urban areas, serving as leaders of the service, interns of nursing and medicine, nurses, nursing assistant and doctors, who demonstrated that if they use the protective barriers, they have been vaccinated against tetanus, hepatitis B and influenza, they perform personal hygiene, they have a medical check-up sometimes or annually , complying with the classification of common, infectious, special and sharps waste in the appropriate collectors according to the col or for each waste; data that in turn served to structure the conclusions and recommendations and to finally create and run a workshop on the proper management of hospital waste, which was socialized with the staff working in the health center. Good management of hospital waste contributes to caring for and preserving the health of the staff of the Gardi Sugdub health center.
