El presente art?culo reivindica la figura del profesor Isa?as Melo, qui?n se destac? por sus condiciones pedag?gicas y did?cticas para desarrollar procesos de ense?anza de la m?sica en el municipio de El Tambo Nari?o, Colombia. Para el logro de este cometido se indaga de manera heur?stica sobre algunos aspectos de su quehacer pedag?gico - musical, recurriendo a testimonios de familiares y disc?pulos del maestro; adem?s se averigua sobre su vida y obra en los archivos municipal y eclesi?stico de El Tambo N. Entre los resultados de esta indagaci?n se puede se?alar que el profesor Isa?as Melo fundamentado en su auto didactismo y liderazgo, desarroll? un m?todo educativo-musical pertinente a las necesidades comunitarias y al momento hist?rico. Se centr? en el afecto, la comunicaci?n y el amor a su patria chica, donde la mujer tuvo un notorio y valiosos protagonismo. Se devela tambi?n la imagen de un hombre virtuoso, generoso con sus ense?anzas y polifac?tico en su perfil ocupacional. Su simiente musical ha sido prol?fica y el variado rizoma que de ella germin?, contin?a fructificando en la actualidad como inagotable fuente que nos trae el recuerdo de este hombre visionario. El festival de m?sica de c?mara ?Isa?as Melo? que anualmente se celebra en el municipio de El Tambo es una muestra de gratitud que la posteridad le brinda, haciendo justicia al invaluable aporte del maestro.
This essay claims the figure of Professor Isaias Melo, who stood out for his pedagogical and didactic conditions to develop music teaching processes in the municipality of El Tambo Nari?o, Colombia. In order to achieve this task, heuristically investigates some aspects of his pedagogical - musical work, resorting to testimonies of relatives and disciples of the teacher; In addition, it is found out about his life and work in the municipal and ecclesiastical archives of El Tambo N. Among the results of this investigation, it can be noted that Professor Isaias Melo, based on his self-teaching and leadership, developed an educational-musical method relevant to the community needs and the historical moment. He focused on affection, communication and love for his homeland, where women had a notorious and valuable role. The image of a virtuous man, generous with his teachings and multifaceted in his occupational profile, is also revealed. His musical seed has been prolific and the varied rhizome that germinated from it continues to bear fruit today as an inexhaustible source that brings us the memory of this visionary man. The chamber music festival ?Isaias Melo? that is held annually in the municipality of El Tambo is a token of gratitude that posterity offers, doing justice to the invaluable contribution of the teacher.
