El incremento de las denuncias pertenecientes a los hombres v?ctimas de violencia por parte de sus parejas, es un hecho novedoso en el fen?meno de la violencia domestica; no obstante, no existen muchas investigaciones al respecto. Dentro de la investigaci?n se establecen ejes relacionados al tema ?Hombres, violencia conyugal y las percepciones sociales que existen en la regi?n de Panam? Oeste? de los cuales son: sociedad patriarcal, violencia hacia el var?n y estereotipos de g?nero. Esta investigaci?n busc? analizar las percepciones sociales que son generadas en torno a la violencia que es ejercida contra los hombres por parte de su pareja, presentes en los funcionarios que atienden este tipo de violencia en las diferentes instituciones u organizaciones en el ?rea de Panam? Oeste. Entre los participantes a entrevistar en el presente estudio son funcionarios p?blicos, como lo es una fiscal y una psic?loga del ministerio p?blico, as? como un agente de la polic?a nacional y una trabajadora social del mismo. Con esta investigaci?n se busca resaltar el hecho de que el hombre es igual de vulnerable ante una situaci?n de agresi?n tanto f?sica como psicol?gica, debido a que la violencia intrafamiliar no solo se refiere al abuso o violencia contra la mujer, sino tambi?n hacia el hombre por parte de su pareja heterosexual.
The increase in complaints pertaining to male victims of violence by their partners is a novel fact in the phenomenon of domestic violence; however, there is not much research in this regard. Within the research, axes related to the topic ?Men, conjugal violence and the social perceptions that exist in the Panama West region? are established, which are: patriarchal society, violence against men and gender stereotypes. This research sought to analyze the social perceptions that are generated around the violence that is exerted against men by their partner, present in the officials who deal with this type of violence in the different institutions or organizations in the Panama West area. Among the participants to be interviewed in this study are public officials, such as a prosecutor and a psychologist from the public ministry, as well as an agent of the national police and a social worker from the same. Enero - Abril 2020 43 are just as vulnerable in a situation of physical and psychological aggression, because intra-family violence not only refers to abuse or violence against women, but also towards men because of part of his heterosexual partner.
